UFOs have been around for a very long time. Public awareness and interest in this phenomenon have been minimal, while government interest has been nil.
Public interest has been revived with the sightings of mystery lights at Kampung Tanjung Sepat Darat.
We cannot advance if we stick to old dogma and brush aside anything odd and mysterious that comes our way. We must take the challenge to solve this baffling mystery. Only then can our science leap forward.
I have been studying UFOs for the past 16 years, working closely with other Western UFO researchers. Our aim is to give ufology – the study of UFOs – a rightful place in our science to be studied objectively.
Unfortunately, the establishment has shied away from this subject. The United States terminated its investigations on UFOs not because UFOs do not exist but because it did not pose a threat to national security. And UFOs continue to fly freely over US airspace till this day.
I believe we cannot solve the UFO mystery today because our scientific knowledge of this universe is not at par with the influx of UFOs. For example, if parallel universes do exist and UFOs originated from one of the universes, how do we prove it when we are stuck with a one-universe concept?
Even though scientists are talking about the possible existence of parallel universes, we are still a long way from proving it. Until then, would not it be better to accept this phenomena with an open mind, rather than label it as nonsense.
I have written a technical report, A Summary of Unidentified Flying Objects and Related Events in Malaysia, 1950 – 1980, which was reprinted by the Centre for UFO Studies for the benefit of other workers in this field.
My second report, Major UFO Waves: 1896 – 1982, Post-mortem and Findings, deals with my study on occurrences of UFO waves on the face of the globe. UFOs have a tendency to manifest in large numbers over a period of time, moving geographicallly on the face of the Earth each year. At present, I am working on the relationship between UFO sightings and earthquakes.
When the Jambi earthquake occurred on Oct. 17, I predicted to my family, "Watch out, we will have some UFO sightings in Malaysia this month". Sure enough, there were reports of sightings in Kampung Tanjung Sepat Darat. I suspected the UFOs will appear somewhere in the southern half of Peninsular Malaysia since Jambi is further south.
If earthquakes occurred in Northern Sumatra, then UFOs will appear in the Penang/Bukit Mertajam area. UFO researchers worldwide have noticed the presence of UFOs before – during and after a seismic activity. Some attribute it to the piezo-electric effect of the ground. But this cannot explain all UFO sightings, especially the close ones where objects and alien occupants are seen.
My belief is that UFOs and earthquakes were triggered by the same force. Whatever is triggering the UFO manifestations on Earth is also causing the earth plates to move.
UFOs and earth tremors rarely occur in Malaysia. But when both of them occur around the same time frame then the signal seems to be very clear.
Consider the following events:
An earth tremor was felt in Penang on March 17, 1979, and another in Kuala Lumpur on April 28 of the same year. This same time frame saw a sudden increase of UFO sightings in the northern states of Kedah and Penang.
On Jan. 15, 1967, a UFO was sighted in Penang and on April 12, 1967, an earth tremor was felt there as a result of the Sumatran earthquake.
A UFO was sighted on March 28, 1987 near Kuantan, and an earth tremor was felt along the West Coast on April 25, 1987.
On Nov. 13, 1991, the West Coast received another slight jolt and this time a UFO was sighted in Pontian, Johor.
To search for a formula to predict where and when a UFO or an earthquake will occur is not that simple. Many factors have to be taken into account. But one thing is clear: UFOs have something to do with seismic activity
